Can I disagree with a classification Maditon produces?
Yes. You can override the risk classification outright, add reviewer notes to an accepted one, and flag any individual citation as incorrect. The override is recorded in the audit log with who made it, so disagreement becomes part of the documented record rather than something that happens outside it.
Three levels of disagreement, each recorded.
Override the classification. If you conclude the tier is wrong, you set it yourself. The override endpoint replaces the AI’s determination with yours.
Annotate an accepted classification. Reviewer notes let you record why you accepted something, what you checked, or which assumption the classification depends on. This is often more useful to a future auditor than the classification itself.
Flag a citation. If a quoted passage does not support the conclusion drawn from it, flag it. Flags feed a quality review of the citation corpus, so a bad citation gets fixed for everyone rather than worked around by one customer.
All of it lands in the organisation’s audit log, which is queryable per organisation and per system. That matters: an override that leaves no trace looks like a gap when someone reconstructs the decision two years later, while an override with a name, a timestamp and a note looks like governance.
